A big family, a reading addiction, and the occasional celebrity scandal are the ingredients of life that create one woman's opinion on just about everything.

Trying to Catch Up

I've got a stack of books to add to my book journal. I still haven't tagged all my older posts, and I'd like to write a few reviews of the books I've read recently, but I'm beating off the natives for a chance to use the computer these days. Bear with me as I try to keep up with you all and also try to get a new post up every now and again. Hopefully once the kids get this ration of papers completed I can return to the regularly scheduled programming.

Who's still watching HEROES? Is that show not getting more intriguing or what? We've taken to saying "Save the cheerleader. Save the world." around here. Hey CindyS my younger son is ready to bash in the TV every time they break for commercials. We think there are too damn many. Has anybody Tivo'd it yet so you can tell us what the show's actual running time is without commercials? I'd be curious to know without actually having to do it myself.

I'm off to bed right now as it is 3:11 a.m. because after midnight was the first time Monday (yes, I know it's really Tuesday now) that I could get on the computer. Below is my 'GRAB THAT BOOK' contribution. The posts have been fun to see and read. So if you haven't done it...to steal Ames' line, consider yourself tagged!

Zeek, since the show has the comic of events, I'm expecting the whole 9 yards of merch. I know someone will Tivo it and let us know how we are being ripped off in time.

I read in LA Times that Heroes has the highest ratings of any new show this fall NBC who airs it here is probably making a killing in advertising.

I should really re-read my comments before publishing. By comic I meant a graphic comic book will probably come out of the whole first season.

Just saying hi. I don't watch Heroes, or any other t.v. show for that matter. Though I AM going to try to catch Grey's this week.

Scooper, it's got so many plot lines intertwining...it's hard to know what will happen next.

Holly, people ask me about TV all the time. Prior to this I used to watch Deadwood on HBO, now it's gone. Monday nights is about the only night we catch TV.

Oh, I watch 'Heroes' and enjoy it a lot, even though I don't think any of female characters are that likeable. Hell, I want the Cheerleader dead already.
My favourite is probably Hiro. He's such a geek. OK, they remind me a bit of X-Men, but the best thing about 'Heroes' is they don't wear moronic suits.
You know 'Heroes' comics are available online? I think it's in at NBC's 'Heroes' section.
