A big family, a reading addiction, and the occasional celebrity scandal are the ingredients of life that create one woman's opinion on just about everything.

There may be trouble ahead...

Like many people all over the country, today I heard that we have some troubled times ahead at work. Not good stuff to hear, but I figure as long as GG and my boys are safe and healthy we'll get through any tough times ahead. What else can you do?

Naturally like any red-blooded American my thoughts immediately turned to the Broadway musical. Why? I don't know. Blame my Mother. I grew up surviving crisis and Saturday chores listening to the soundtracks of Broadway musicals.

Of course Professor Hill manufactures the troubles in River City, but still, it popped in my head and made me smile.

LOL. I grew up watching musicals on Saturday TV. I know what you mean. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for you, Rosie.

Sigh, I think times are going to be hard everywhere in the next year. Sad :( but I'm sure we're going to be all okay.

Lori, it's so weird because I used to roll my eyes when Mom put on Man from LaMancha or Funny Girl or The Music Man but now I have so much affection for musicals. Gotta a problem? There's a song to fit somewhere, I'm sure of it. :D

Mary, you are always so nice to me. I'm fine. No job cuts yet.

Nath, of course we'll be okay as long as our loved ones are whole, hale and healthy. I was just sad to hear that people may get laid off. So far my job is safe but some tough days are ahead.

Gotta love this state don't ya? I moved to CA during the whole recall hoopla and I thought, "It can't be all that bad." Then I got here. The answer is yes. Yes it can be.

hugs and good wishes. And a good musical is always a positive thing. :)

I am pretty secure in my job but DF is graduating from school and beyond a summer internship, the hiring outlook is not looking super promising. I guess we will all figure out how to go on day by day.

Hey Rosie - that really sucks! Hope things turn out well for you. And great attitude - as long as everyone is safe and healthy.

Hey SL, but we got sunshine bay-bee! It's the cosmic balance for all things.

sula, so far no job cuts but lots of other stuff is gone. Very unsettling times we are living in. OTOH, believe it or not I'm optimistic because I just believe in the American people to roll up their sleeves and do what's necessary for recovery.

ames, thanks. My guys are pretty awesome and I can survive anything as long as we are all safe and sound.

I hope this turn isn't for long and that you'll be able to weather the storm. I'm one of those who believes as long as we all have our health, we'll find a way.

I turn to my music during hard times also. I'm not a musical girl but put on a firing instrumental and all cylinders are flashing!
