The Phone Call...

House phone rings an hour and twenty minutes after Beanie leaves home from a Spring Break overnight to get free food, taken out to dinner and his laundry done (by him).

Me: Hello?

Beanie: Mom?

: Yeeeeeesssss...

: S'rsly Mom why do you even have a cell phone?

: What?

: Why do you have a cell phone? You don't answer texts and you don't answer calls.

: What are you talking about? You called the house.

: That was after I called your cell.

: I'm in the office and my cell is charging in the bedroom. What's the big deal?

: I wanted to talk to you.

: And you are!

: Never mind.

: Wait! Why'd you call?

: Oh, yeah... I'm home already. Do you miss me yet?

My friends tell me that I am bad with my cell phone. I don't think I am that bad, or perhaps I should say that I know at least one person who is worse than I am!

BTW, I have given you a blog award. Full details here

I love when you wear your wonder woman suit.

Beanie cracks me up. I'm addicted to my cell phone, but not to things like Twitter. I've chosen to miss that boat.

Also:hello? You text me! You put all those phone numbers in my cell for me!

Hell, I don't even have my cell phone ON 99.9% of the time. You'd be proud of me though Rosie. I bought a new cell last weekend. One that actually *gasp* does text messaging. Of course, I still don't have my cell on 99.9% of the time - but baby steps.....

Oh and yeah - same phone number. Since you're like one of 3 people who actually knows the number....

omg that is so stinking cute. I love how much your boys love you!

And if he knew you were home why did he call you on your cell in the first place? Kids! lol

I love the Beanie Boy and WW! I haven't seen Beanie Boy (or Cecil) in years. I'd never made the connection with your references to your son.

I wonder how many times he texted/called (from inside the house) just to let you know he was home, before he "broke down" and called you on the land line. lol

Awwww, he's too cute. I'm addicted to my phone too. I try to have it on me at all times (even at home) and when I don't, I'm a grump!

Awwwww, soooo cute LOL :) Such an attention seeker, be sure that you remember him ;)

and I love the pic of you, Rosie :)

My mom is not too bad with her cell phone... but both my sis and my mom, it's when I need to talk to them urgently that they never pick up. So frustrating! LOL, of course, my dad would be even worst if he had one!

Marg, thanks for the award, I'll have to go by and see what you've been up to! For the record, I'm NOT bad with my phone. I use it and am on it all the time. Beanie just doesn't like it when he doesn't get an instant reply. I have to remind him I work.

Lb, I'm using that WW image FOR-EVAH AND EVAH! I love it too. And, thankyouverymuch for vindicating me. I know how to use and DO use my phone all the time.

Wen-deeeee! A new cell phone? Yay! Your Man must be so proud of you. Baby steps...we'll see about that.

Tracy, my boys can be such PITAs sometimes. They are so egotistical that they think if they call the world will stop everything to answer. It was too funny to be chastised only to find out he was calling to tell me he was home and ask if I missed him yet.

OMG! Renee, finally someone else who remembers who Beanie and Cecil are. I tagged him Beanie Boy when he was very small because he was always wearing a hat. He wanted to sleep in a hat. He still loves hats. That's my Beanie.

Rowena, I love my phone too. But sheesh, you gotta charge it sometime.

Christine, *sigh* Yes, he's sweet, and I'm glad he calls, but he's (they both are) so spoiled too.

Nath, my boys always complain they can never get a hold of me when they really need to. Is it a necessity to call and ask if I miss him yet? :D

Clearly he loves you! That's always nice when they're older and not around as much...makes you feel appreciated?! Well, his delivery system needs some work, but the sentiment is there.

Miss you madly! Looks like Easter might be a no go...Tom Selleck's damn job! We'll talk!
