Birthday-less Month
Ahhh...we used to say. Whew! We used to exclaim. April, once upon a forever ago used to be the month with only two birthdays. Thanks to marriages and births, which happen with alarming frequency in our family, we now have lots of birthdays and celebrations in the month.
Seventeen years ago today April 16th was also a Monday and tax day and a precious baby boy was born. Our Shmoo entered the world!

Happy Birthday to Shmoo! Seventeen is a wonderful age!
Thanks everybody. Shmoo had a great birthday. We went out for BBQ ribs, his favorite. He also just found out he has a job at a local fast food chain. He was really hoping to NOT have to work in fast food, he wants money for sound equipment so he's going to take the job until something better comes along.
Happy birthday, Shmoo!!! My son will be 15 on the 30th. April's a great month!

Jenster, I have a nephew who is going to be 29 on April 30th. Happy birthday to your son.
Nath, he's been looking forward to turning 17 so he can go to 'R' rated movies with his friends. Here you can't just have someone older buy your ticket, you have to show your ID with the ticket before going into the theater. So he is very excited about that.
