Shocked, and so, so saddened. I opened my email this morning and just sat there. He was far too young to go.

Yes, totally shocked and very saddened. He was one of the truly wonderful and talented young actors of my generation. I was looking forward to seeing him continue to push himself and his art in new directions. For one so young he already had accomplished a great deal and showed his capacity to play a whole range of roles. What a loss. :(

Totally shocked as opposed to surprised! What a sad thing, especially for his family, and his poor little daughter.

It is shocking... really didn't expect it and I keep waiting for someone to say they've made a mistake!

Very shocked. I heard it from my niece and then had to look it up on the internet to make sure it was true and not a rumor. Very, very sad.

Shocked!! It's troubling. It always is when a young person dies. :(

Totally shocked. I just keep thinking about his daughter. She's a little younger than the P-nut and she'll never know her daddy. That just breaks my heart.

So sad, isn't it? And he was so darn young.

Shocked. And sad for his family. It's cruel that they found out through the media.

I just loved him. Knight's Tale and 10 Things I Hate About You are two of our favorite movies. I have that 10 things on my Ipod and it's my movie of choice when waiting. And, Rosie, can you believe that I've never seen Broke Back Mountain? No HEA. Now it's going to be that much more sad.

Gabrielle, it looks like this tragedy is going to be one of those things no one will ever really understand how it happened. All guess work and supposition.

Sula, I couldn't agree more
about his talent. I think he had a lot more surprises up his sleeve.

Marg, did it make big news Down Under since he's from there? Is his popularity as big down there? I thought about his little girl over and over again. She's too little to really explain anything to.

Nath, Beanie called me and told me while I was at work. I thought he was joking at first because we have all been talking about the new Batman movie.

Dev, I got it second hand too and then immediately hit the internet for news like you did. Unreal.

Jodi, you are so right. I think most people are troubled and particularly sad when a young person dies so needlessly.

Giselle, poor little girl. I was reading today how devastated Michelle Williams was about the news. On another note, how've you been feeling your own damn self?

Lori, absolutely beyond sad. How'd your boys react? Mine were pretty stunned.

Lisabea, wow, I hadn't heard or read that the family found out through the media. That's horrible. I read today that they are flying into New York for the funeral. Sad, sadder, saddest.

Way shocked.

We loved Knights Tale. I, too, mourn thinking of his little girl never knowing her daddy.

Someone (I think his sister) commented that he was an old soul in a young man's body. He was a gifted actor.

Very tragic.
