A big family, a reading addiction, and the occasional celebrity scandal are the ingredients of life that create one woman's opinion on just about everything.

Inquiring Minds Want to Know

Does a mild mannered librarian and romance junkie by day who is a kickass super hero by by night wear a cape? Inquiring minds want to know.

The totally cool Super Librarian Wendy took pity on my sad tale of having no decent UBS any more and told me about a great store in our area. We were able to meet today and not only did I score some awesome books (Cheryl St. John and Terri Brisbin!) we were able to have lunch together. It was great to meet Wendy and be able to talk, in person, about books and book stores and the blogs we have in common.

Now I'm hoping we can all convince her to go to Dallas so we can get the scoop from four different POVs and voices. While they each love romance Sybil, Jane, Kristie and Wendy all have their own inimitable voices. Frankly, I can't wait to hear, see and read their tales.

Thanks Wendy, it was fun AND I found a good UBS once again. As for the cape...I'll never tell.

Damn, I really thought you were going to reveal whether or not she wears a cape! *g*

And hey, we readers should do our own convention some day. That would be amazing!

That's awesome! I was so excited when Nikki told me about a couple near me (well, they're about a half hour away, but that's the closest I'm gonna get). We met up in much the same way. Meeting other bloggers we talk to online alot is da bomb, isn't it?

So fun for you!!! We had the greatest UBS fairly close to the house when we lived in Arkansas. I LOVED that place. When we moved to PA it was sad to leave it behind.

Haven't found one quite as close or good here. :o(

Tell me about it. I still mourn my UBS back in Michigan. Every time I go home to visit the family I always stop there. They specialize in "gift quality books" and are very romance friendly - so it's a great place to shop!

Rosie: It was great meeting you too! We'll have to do it again sometime. What I should do is go on an HH bender, then just pass them off to you. It's really embarrassing how many I have.....

I love that so many of us are starting to meet each other! I have met Kristie a few times now and we have a great time. Glad you and Wendy were able to meet - but about that cape...

That's so cool, Rosie. Wendy has great taste in HH and westerns so I listen when she recommends something. Love Cheryl St. John.

Rosario A reader convention sounds great. I'd go to meet all of you. As for the cape...I'll never tell.

Nath, it was very great to meet Super Librarian AND I gotta a great bunch of books too.

Lori, Isn't it the coolest to meet another reader who sorta already knows you from online?

Jenster, I've been whining to anyone who'd listen over my UBS. Years!! And the unspent credit, well forget about it. I'm so glad I found a new one to go to. It's a drive, but it's not far from my fave Borders so it's all good.

Wendy, bring on the HH. I've already read a St John and am reading a Reavis tonight. BTW, I'm counting on us having a gabfest when you return from RWA.

Cindy, I was thinking about you and Kristie and in fact mentioned it to Wendy. It's great that we already have something in common to share, but it's even better to make the human connection.

Whoops, that was me above, not Angie. My daughter (Angie) must have used my computer last.

Angie, don't I know it! I'd already read a couple of Cheryl St. John's and scored JOE'S WIFE on Saturday which I've already read. Good book. It was wonderful meeting a fellow reader and knowing we can do lunch and talk books is pretty sublime.

Isn't it a wonderful thing meeting in real life? I am so excited at the thought of meeting Wendy, Jane and Sybil. And Cindy and I have a great time together!!! And further news to come on meeting other wonderful bloggers. I'll wait for one of them to spill the beans about a certain weekend we have planned.
