A big family, a reading addiction, and the occasional celebrity scandal are the ingredients of life that create one woman's opinion on just about everything.

Well...I didn't HATE it, but

I didn't exactly love it either. It just lacked the intensity of the first two. So the first of the three big movies with third installments is out SPIDERMAN 3. PIRATES 3 and SHREK 3 being the other two. This one was just not what I was hoping for. Shmoo said the trailer was almost better than the movie. (see below) I wouldn't go that far, but maybe... Have you seen the movie yet? What did you think?

We saw the latest trailer for BOURNE ULTIMATUM. Now that certainly looks good, along with the new HARRY POTTER those are two movies I'm anxious to see.

I think intensity is just the right word for what was missing from this one .. Raimi's first two Spidey movies are nearly flawless, which just made this uneven movie all the more disappointing

It's gotten mixed reviews. I really didn't care for #1, but was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed #2. The Boyfriend thinks Venom is the best villain, so we'll see this one eventually - but probably not for many weeks yet. Don't want to fight the crowds.

And I'm really looking forward to the next Bourne movie! Loved the first two.

RF, it's going to be interesting to see the fall out, which I suspect after this blockbuster weekend will be lackluster $$.

Wendy, after the movie we had a family review and dissection over Chinese. Our conclusion is that Doc Ock rocks. Beanie's fave villian is Venom also. The visual doesn't disappoint but screen time may.

Who needs Bond when we have Jason Bourne?

My kids went to Spiderman 3 last night and they said it wasn't as good as the first two as well. I will wait til it comes out on DVD to watch it, I guess. I am looking forward to Pirates of the Caribbean 3, though. It looks good. I also am looking forward to the Fantastic Four 2. not sure when that comes out though.

Now my kids tell me that the movie was pretty good just the "romance" between MJ and Peter was boring and those parts of the movie dragged on. *eyeroll* Boys!!

I'm waiting for the Pirates movie, lol.
We will probably see Spiderman next week, if it rains like the weather report said it would!

I have to confess I just don't get the Spidermand thing. I saw the first two when they were on tv and wasn't overly impressed. My sons love them though.
But when it comes to POTC III - I will be SO there *g*

Anne, my boys were disgusted with the lack of screen time for Venom and SPOILER ALERT weren't too keen on the whole MJ singing and Gwen Stacy thing. It just didn't have the same energy as previous Spidey installments.

Sam and Kristie, at the risk of having rotten tomatoes thrown at me I have to confess I've never seen any of the PIRATES movies. No particular reason I can think of, just haven't. My boys love them though.

The kids loved this one. I'm loving that I don't have to go to the movies with them anymore LOLOL!

Can't wait to see Matt Damon in another Bourne movie, though. I'm definitely in for that one!!

Lori, apparently alot of people were anxious to see this movie opening weekend considering how much money it made. It will be interesting to see if it continues to do so. My boys liked it, just not as much as previous Spidey movies.
