Bridget Jones... sigh....
Sometimes I feel I should be called Bridget!
I can't watch it 'cause I'm at work and youtube is blocked here, but I have to agree. This is my absolute favorite scene. Bridget Jones is one of those movies that I can (and have!) watch over and over and over and never get tired of it.
Love, LOVE, LOVE that scene. I kept this DVD in my DVD player for several weeks because I loved this movie. I love the ending, too, when she watches him leave to buy another journal and that kiss...sigh. The man is just drop dead sexy.
re The Scene, I love how he points out her flaws and still says that he likes her, just as she is. Wonderful.
Keishon
I always feel like an odd man out - but I just don't get the Colin Firth thing. He does nothing for me. *heavy sigh*
Katie, now I'm more interested in finding out why you should be called Bridget. No one who thinks she's Bridget Jones is going to hide behind plants at RWA. :)
Dev, all women can identify with the scene, ya know? I love the scene with her pals when they are all discussing and digesting it too.
Keishon, yes! He lets her know all her shortcomings and then says, I like you warts and all. It's very well done by them too.
Kristie, potatoe, poh-tahto. Different strokes and all that. There are just some scenes CF has delivered that are very memorable for me. This Bridget Jones scene is one and the proposal scene in P&P is another.
Sometime I have such Bridget moments where I say things I shouldn't and end up in interesting situations.
Too bad I don't have my own Darcy to fall back on.
Knowing my luck, I will happen to fall over a plant the first day of the conference thus setting the mood for the week. LOL
My favorite scene is when Mark comes to help her cook for her dinner party. There's one part when he smiles at her...and that smile makes me swoon. *sigh* LOL But this one is right up there too.
Katie, I just tripped this week and fell when I was out walking with some of the ladies at work. Uh, yep, lovely moment. For a day or so I thought I broke my finger as well. So um...plant tripping sounds all too real to me. :) However, we have one huge plus. SL Wendy tells me everyone loves Kristie. All we have to do is hang with her like glue and it's all good!
Ames, that first movie has some truly swoon worthy moments. Makes me want to go watch it!
Rosie I am THIS close to stealing that and posting it. And the bestest part is that Van Morrison bit coming in at the end. Love this. Love it.
Love.
And I, too, feel like Bridget Jones pretty much all of the time.
We are so going to rock RWA!!
Watch out ;)
lisabea, it's all about the lurve...post that baby. My very first 8 track tape was Van Morrison. Can you dig it?
Katie, you know it!
