Stroke, Stroke Breath...
I'm talking swimming people. Swimming. Today a milestone. Literally. I swam a little more than a mile today. 72 lengths of a 25 yard pool. If you're wondering, 68 lengths is the magic number so I swam the mile with a little to spare.
I have to say it feels pretty darn great. For a treat just because I love you. Here's some video of what it's like when GG and I swim. Swear!!
After all it just a story about a guy, a gal and a bathing suit...

They just don't make movies like that anymore!
Your pool must get pretty crowded with all those people in the water and a full orchestra every time!
LOL, Marg! :-)
I'm lucky to get a bad dog paddle in. I can float and tread water ~ but other than that.....let's just say it looks really, really bad.
Marg, it does get very crowded and I get such a headache from that crown I have to wear!
Dev, my sisters don't think they are very good swimmers either. Swimming is one of those things that repetition really does help. The more you do it the better you can get.
Hey how many days until your vacay?
Gosh, it's been ages since I saw that movie.
LOL @ Marg and the crown comment. HA!
I love to swim, but I don't do it very often. Before my parents moved they had a pool and I'd spend weekends at their house with the kids, but now it seems like too much of a hassle to go to the public pool.
Congrats on accomplishing the feat. i could barely walk a mile much less swim one.
Go you, Rosie! That's awesome!
Congrats Rosie! 1 mile, awesome! :D It's been ages since I went to swim... sigh.
Thanks for the kind words everyone. Can you believe GG dragged me back to the pool on Sunday! Slave driver.
Congrats Rosie!!
I can only float in the water. LOL So I'm really in awe of your mad skillz. :P
Very impressive, Esther -- I mean, Rosie!
Have you ever been up to the hotel in Arrowhead where they filmed most of her movies?? Pretty stuff!!
Ames, it's repetition and practice I swear and before you know it you are swimming just like Esther.
Jen, you lived out here when the local LA TV stations used to play the old movies on channel 5, 9 and 11 weren't you? I saw all the old MGM musicals that way back in high school. I didn't know about the hotel in Arrowhead. Stuff like that fascinates me. I'll have to check that out.
