A big family, a reading addiction, and the occasional celebrity scandal are the ingredients of life that create one woman's opinion on just about everything.

Is it me?

All of a sudden I'm having a bitch of a time keeping up with my blog and emails. I haven't decided if this is:

a. I really am busy and have lots more stuff to do in my life;

b. The heat is already getting to me and is slowing me down;

c. It's Summer and I'm in a vacation state of mind;

d. You people are writing more stuff than ever; or

e. All of the above.

At any rate I'm barely keeping up. It's entertaining as hell, but I'm usually too busy at work to participate in the emails or have too many posts to get through at night to comment much.

Crap-ola, I'm complaining again, aren't I?

*sulking* How'd THAT happen??????

Someday I'm hoping to actually review books again.

I vote for e. all of the above. And that's totally me as well. This summer I have seen a huge decrease in the amount of time I have to spend blogging. Not to mention reading. I blame my full-time job plus MBA courseload. But I had all of that when I started blogging, so who knows. Maybe it is just a summer thing. lol.

hey, are you coming to SF for RWA?

Sometimes when I get behind on my Google Reader I just squeeze my eyes shut and delete them all. Then I start over.

Sula, me too with the job etc. Although I have added swimming and walking to the agenda... who knows. I'm blaming Summer too. Oh, and YES I'll be in SF. I'm roomies with KatieB, Kristie and Wendy tSL. I cannot wait! I take it you'll be there too?

Nath, I was soooo looking forward to the July 4th long weekend, but I have to work on the 4th. The fire dept is muy busy that weekend. And dude, when you have 4.5 days off that isn't a weekend that almost a whole flippin' week off!

Jen, I've been close a couple of times like when I had over 600 during Shmoo's graduation. But I'm too "curious" shall we call my nosiness? I just spread the reading and catching up out and usually manage okay. I'm just bummed about not writing, reviewing and reading as much as I used to.

My vote is for E ~ all of the above. I'm kind of in the same boat.

Hope you catch up soon :-) If all else fails, do what Jen does. Ok, I admit I'll do it too. Sometimes you just can't catch up.

Lori, I don't know how people like Jane at Dear Author, Sybil, Holly, people who have full time jobs and families do it and stay so prolific on line.

Dev, I haven't had to mass delete yet, but I've come close. It's my writing that's suffering. I'm often too tired to do anything real justice.

I am SOOOOO having the same problem. But I know EXACTLY why I can't seem to accomplish and/or keep up with anything--- my demon spawn and their evil minions have invaded my once quiet domain and seem to think that I should be available 24/7 for taxi service and grocery delivery.

It's too bad that waving them all off back to school also means the end of summer.

Bev, then the demon spawn grow up and you have more free time because they have their own cars except now you don't sleep much because, you know, they're DRIVING!

My older two are 21, but since they are home from college, they seem to expect home-cooked meals! WTF?! And one of those is a son, which means he eats enough for a small country, which means more trips to the grocery store, or as I like to call it, "My Happy Place" (/end sarcasm).

The younger two, however, still need taxied everywhere. Although my 15 year old daughter will be getting her license later this summer. At which time I will most certainly be freaking out every time she gets behind the wheel!

I have no reason not to be reading or blogging or cleaning except that Bobby is home this week. Throws my routine out the window.

I gave up following Dear Author and Smart Bitches eons ago only because I couldn't keep up. Sybil is also very busy but I mostly zip in and hope she's written a funny rant on the blog somewhere. I love the Book Binge ladies because they keep things to a few posts a day. Helps me feel sane.

I'm like Nath - more, more, more!!

And I read the Sonic entry and I have to say - my 'diet' has been off for a while now. Now it's summer and I don't know what to do. I think I have so many people coming and going most of the time that I don't have time to think smart. Not like winter where I act like a hermit. Ugh.

I'm writing and soooo I post more photos. Oops. And I've got my wee circle of friends I keep visiting!

But I can't keep up with my reading. At all.
