A big family, a reading addiction, and the occasional celebrity scandal are the ingredients of life that create one woman's opinion on just about everything.

Stuff that happened yesterday...

It appears you are stuck with me posting in lists...

1.  Still haven't read Beanie's first comic narrative.  It's only 7 pages and I've read a page and a half so far.  *dun*dun*dun*  Will he forgive me??? Be scarred for life? Stay tuned.

2.  Shmoo has more jackets, hoodies and coats than the next 3 people you know.  Not kidding. Take one guess what his first "tip" purchase was?  A leather jacket! He's killing me.  I told him I'm going to start charging rent, that way I'll get a leather coat.

3.  I went to the doctor's.  It appears I'll be trekking to Scripps to get my little bit of skin cancer removed. Apparently the nose is problematic. In my case the where seems to be more significant than the what.  I'm fine.  A little freaked (cuz it's gross) about the upcoming procedure, but not scared.  Does that make sense?

4.  I ate Cocoa Puffs for dinner.

5.  At Shmoo's insistence GG & I watched the trailer for THE WOLFMAN.  Wow!  Check it out. I was reluctant too, but it looks kind of interesting. Any thoughts?

6.  I received two cards in the mail.  I arrived home from work after 7 PM to find two cards addressed to me from my sisters.  Nothing at all to do with my nose, just lovely thoughts from my seesters.  Very nice.  Very welcome.  Love you M and N!

7.  Commiserated with GG over the fact we not only need new tires for his car, but also rims to the tune of $900.  The money goes out of the savings waaaay faster than it goes in.  Rims ordered.  Pockets empty.  Blerg!

8.  Finished BOUND BY YOUR TOUCH by Meredith Duran.  Why'd I wait so long?

LOL, Rosie, I think the list format works well :) We get to hear from you and you get everything you want to say :)

So for Beanie's comics, since it's a comics, there's drawings right? did he do them himself?

Now, I need to read the MD. So many books!!

and money... ugh, so depressing to think about that subject :(

And yes, freaked but not scared makes sense.

*sending more good thoughts*

*not thinking about money 'cause it's extremely depressing*

Still have the Duran sitting in my TBR. I keep avoiding it as well. Not sure why. Hype? Who knows.

As for the nose, my grandmother had one removed - exact same deal - about 35 years ago. No problems. No complications. Nada. We always thought she looked kinda funny for the rest of her life without a nose..... (you know I love you, and I'm kidding. It was a piece of cake, and she was beautiful)

I can totally relate to the hoodie thing. What is it with the guys and their hoodies?

And... there is nothing better than cereal for dinner every now and again. Especially when you get to follow it up with the chocolate milk it generates.

Does Shmoo realize he lives in southern California? LOL

New tires are bad enough - but rims too? Ugh - that's what's killing you right there. Blerg indeed.

I think the list format works perfectly fine.

My thoughts and prayers are with you sweetie as you go on with your procedure. (((Hugs)))

It's too dang hot for hoodies, jackets and most especially leather jackets.

The Duran book is at the top of my TBR pile, I'll get to it eventually. I want to see for myself how good this book is.

Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

Money is too depressing to think about.

I want to read the Duran, but I keep putting it off. Like Lori I think it has to do with the hype. I don't want to be disappointed.

Nath, it's so much easier too!

AL, I'm feeling less freaked out 24 hours after hearing what they have to do...

Lori, I was in the car on the way to a meeting with 2 Chiefs and another Admin person when I read your comment about the nose. I laughed and had to explain. You entertained us all.

SL, I'm telling you Shmoo wants to live in Washington (state) or New England. He loves those coats. His latest thought is to live in England... He's been watching the movie ROCK N' ROLLA and to say he loves it is an understatement.

Rowena, how anyone can even think about a leather jacket when it's 104 degrees is beyond me. I attribute it to being a BOY.

Holland! I've been thinking about you and your morning sickness woes. If you read the Duran we should talk. Maybe I'll even *gasp* do a review of it.

Sending healing thoughts and prayers!

Take Beanie's comic to the docs appt - you'll have plenty of time in the waiting room to read it twice ;)

Youth and money. It's extravagant cause they can!

Let me guess, GG says he needs new rims - I bust Bob on vehicle stuff all time. Right now he wants to have my car re-painted. Uh, no. I don't drive it anymore, I took the insurance off it and it's 11 years old. Let it go.

But yes, money leaves in large doses while it shows up in neat little amounts. I'm afraid to open the reno bills from Bob's summer of care free spending. Sure I have a rockin fence but it's still a fence!

Rosie, I'm a list person, so this kind of post totally works for me! ;)

1. I hope everything goes well with your skin procedure. I totally get your emotions. I'd be like that, too.

2. I hate sinking money above and beyond oil changes. Hate it. Like we don't pay enough money for gas? Ugh.

3. I loved BOUND BY YOUR TOUCH. I guess you liked it? I just picked up WRITTEN ON YOUR SKIN a day or two ago. I'm looking forward it reading it.

I'd be freaked too for sure! But it's allll going to be fine. Promise!

I'm glad to hear you're doing OK.

I loved Bound by Your Touch, but can't seem to motivate to finished Written on Your Skin. So, go figure!

Good luck with your procedure, Rosie!

OK, can I tell my guy about the Cocoa Puffs? He was giving me a hard time because I ate Special K Red Berries last night for dinner. Do freeze dried strawberry bits count as a fruit/veg? lol

LOVED BBYT! One of the most beautiful love scenes I've read in recent memory is in there! Gotta get to Written on Your Skin, which is just sitting on my tbr shelf.

Amyless, if you can find the HJ band aids, I'll wear 'em!

Cindy, I will be reading the narrative tomorrow. I'm terrible to keep him waiting so long. Although I've been in meetings and busy at work so I'm beat when I get home. I haven't been reading books either.

Christine, I'm reading Duran's books in reverse order. I like BBYT better than WOHS only because I think I liked the H/H better. She's a very good writer, but as a person who suffers from 'it's been over hyped' myself I understand some people setting it aside for now.

Kati, did you read DUKE OF SHADOWS? I've had it since it came out and didn't read it yet. I think I put off reading last year due to hype, but I enjoy her thoroughness. I love when I can sense or feel the author really knows the characters well and they aren't caricutures or cookie cutter.

Renee, I announced on the internet that I ate Cocoa Puffs for dinner so feel free to share it with your guy. I've no shame whatsoever.
