Brad Pitt and LEGENDS OF THE FALL

We watched this the other night. How could I forget how good this is? The scenery is spectacular. Since I've been to Montana, have family there and love it, the movie sort of made me home sick. Gotta love the epic splendor of it all. GG and I enjoyed it snuggled together. Mmmmmmm...

Actually, all the ranch settings were filmed in Alberta. :P

I love this movie too. Think I'm going to have to watch it now. LOL

This is a great movie ~ I don't really watch it much though. It's one of those that I cry pretty much all the way through.

I know I can't be the only one here...

The chick in this movie drives me insane! Make a damn decision and stick with it already!

The Boyfriend insists I'm missing the point. But such is my deep annoyance with love triangles. Just make up your mind cupcake!

I do enjoy the family dynamic in this movie though, and you're right - it's beautifully shot. But oh that spineless chickie. She makes my head hurt.

Maybe I'm just jealous. I mean, when was the last time I had Aidan Quinn and Brad Pitt fighting over me? Besides in my dreams last night....

Ames, yeah, GG and I figured they were probably filmed in Canada when we were watching the movie, it's just that if one has been to Montana, it's very evocative of places there so it's easy to assume the film was actually filmed there.

Dev, I don't cry as much except when Samuel dies, oh and when Isabel 2 dies, and, okay I cry a lot too I guess. But I see different things each time I watch it.

Wendy, Yes, Julia Ormond's character needs a spine and while Tristan (Brad Pitt) is attractive and compelling, if someone left me behind for years I think I'd get a clue already. Besides, she could never have lived the life Isabel 2 did with Tristan. She should have gone home when Samuel died.

You'd think if she was going to commit suicide it would have been when Tristan left. What was the point after all those years?

It would have saved everyone a lot of anguish. OTOH it wouldn't have made for much of a movie. Sheesh, I get so worked up sometimes!

I saw this one when it first came out and while I confess, Brad Pitt is truly beautiful go gaze upon, I didn't really care for the movie that much. I think I must have missed the point too :-( He seemed to me to be pretty self-absorbed and I too hated the Julia Ormond character. And somehow they even managed to make Aidan Quinn look like a not so nice kind of guy.
