A big family, a reading addiction, and the occasional celebrity scandal are the ingredients of life that create one woman's opinion on just about everything.

Drive By...

I can't blame the Olympics this time. This time I've been reading and relaxing. I hit some sort of wall on Saturday afternoon. I got my hair done, came home, showered and fell asleep at 7:30 PM. I woke up at 6 AM this morning. Can't believe that one.

GG kindly brought me coffee in bed. I promptly drank half and fell back asleep until like 10 AM. I have to say I feel lots better but am a little whacked about what's going on with me.

I wound up my day by buying new tubs to organize my TBR books. The final and official count? 223 books. Holy crap!

No more browsing, no more impulse buying and no more monthly book list. I'm on a diet of auto buys only. Which let me just say is still a considerable haul what with all the series and authors I'm already hooked on.

I swear I'm on a moratorium and mission to reduce that TBR. Either I read 'em or lose 'em. They are taking up way too much space. For the first time EVER GG is eyeing my books with speculation. I don't want to even ask him what he's thinking. Too scary to think about.

Forgive me for being behind again on the blog hopping. Just been too tired. I see the doctor on Wednesday and maybe we can get things figured out.

More later...

Make sure you get that thyroid THOROUGHLY checked, and I do mean THOROUGHLY!!! And if they tell you it's fine but you still feel tired, come talk to me :-)

Dev, I keep thinking I'm finally back in a groove and routine and something happens to throw me off. At least the Olympics are over. Now GG won't have the TV on 24/7.

Gabrielle, I was taking synthroid. Then he took me off because he thought the dose too small. Now we've re-tested and I see him on Weds. My Mom had thyroid problems so it's not completely unexpected, I'd just rather not have anything wrong. We'll see what's up on Wednesday.

GG is eyeing your 223? It's official, GG can never be anywhere near my book collection. The shock would kill him.

I scoff at your 223! Mwahahahahaha!

Hope you're feeling better soon. Sucks to be tired all the time.

That sounds exactly like how I get when I am borderline anemic and am iron deficient (which is usually a simple matter of just getting adequate dietary iron again).

I'd second Gabrielle...ask your doctor about getting thoroughly tested for your thyroid...as many times they only give you the basic testing and it's not enough, especially if you have a family history of thyroid issues. It took my aunt a couple of years and visiting several specialists to get to the bottom of her thyroid issues and get the proper medication.

Well I hope you're feeling better after all the sleep. Maybe the doctor will be able to shed some light on the issue.

My hubby stares at my TBR all the time and I CERTAINLY don't want to know what he's thinking! lol Ijust say, "touch them and die"! lol

Tell GG to keep his eyes off your TBR pile unless he's using a measuring tape to build you some bookscases ;)

Hope you are feeling better!

SL, uh...I sorta used your TBR as an example of how restrained I truly am. I must say that GG's eyes bugged out a bit when I threw out 1000 books. I just KNEW you'd want to help me out.

Becky, I've been anemic before too, but not for years. I had my lab work done last week...my doc ran a ton of tests, so we'll see what's up tomorrow.

Tracy, I don't think GG would actually have the cojones to suggest I reduce my collection...at least I don't think he does. My books are the one area he knows I'm irrational about. After all these years I was surprised to see him look twice at my tubs.

Cindy! This is awesome strategy. I plan on using it. So not kidding... Now I just have to plan carefully when to spring my trap. Mwahhahahahahahahah!

Gabrielle, thanks so much. I have a lot of confidence in my new doc and am sure we'll get things figured out.
