A big family, a reading addiction, and the occasional celebrity scandal are the ingredients of life that create one woman's opinion on just about everything.

I'm Desperate...

For some sleep. For some good quality reading time instead of reading in snatches. For some good quality blogging time. My posts have been less than stellar and I'm dying to know what everyone is reading and watching on TV and seen in the movies.

Yesterday my Time Thief was a special project from work. I was Christmas shopping with a co-worker for a family we are sponsoring. We bought Christmas dinner, a tree with trimmings, and gifts for a family of 7. A very worthy cause I was proud to be a part of but a Time Thief nonetheless.

I did get my column done for Access Romance that will be up today. Go check it out. I wrote it so long ago I can't remember what I wrote. Huh, maybe I better read it again too.

Take a second, have pity on my poor pitiful self and tell me...what have you been up to?

Well at least, you're doing something with your time thief... me, my time thief lately? my resurging passion/obsession with kung fu stories!! so I read... but at the same time, I want to read romance novels... so I juggled both of them... results? still haven't finished Hundred Years to Reform a Rake even though it's really good.

It's like nothing has changed, Rosie. Still reading Sarah McCarty and JL Langley. Hmmmm...I may need to find something new. I downloaded 10 books onto my reader and I'm systematically (snort) working my way through them.

Snow Day! We're going shopping before the skies dump a foot of snow on my house.

I'm playing with She-Ra and Max. Also spending more time in my vehicle as traffic crawls because of the snow. But I love the snow so its all good.

Not really reading. I hate slumps. :(

I've been watching North and South, and watching North and South, and watching North and South. When I do read, I'm still on Sarah McCarty's Promises Prevail, Nora Roberts' Sea Swept, Rona Sharon's Once a Rake, and Robyn Carr's Virgin River.

Nath, Kung fu! Really? Are they manga? HUNDRED YEARS TO REFORM A RAKE. I haven't heard of that one.

Lisabea, boy are you ambitious 10 books at once? I download maybe 3 at a time and lately even that is 3 too many.

Ames, I can't say I have your same affection for the snow, but I am glad our seasons have changed to cooler weather around here. Do you buy Christmas presents for Max and She-Ra? Emily's pressies are the only ones I have left to buy.

Dev, well, what do you think? Are you a Richard Armitage fan now? Four books at once? I should live so long. Lately, if I'm lucky, I get a half hour a day in on one book.

Zeek, you guys all rock for updating me. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to check out your review later after Beanie finishes his last paper for this semester. Hooray!

I don't buy christmas presents because every time I go to the store, I buy them something. My dogs have a toy box in my bedroom for goodness sakes. LOL Every night I gather up all their toys and when I get home from work, they're all over the floor.

What are you going to buy Emily?

Ames, Emily has a toy box too, but she likes to chew, and chew, and chew so we are always replacing and adding stuff. I've already gotten her some fancy organic dog biscuits. My only fear is that she will love them and we will be buying those instead of her run of the mill biscuits. She's getting some new soft toys. Because she chews most of her toys are balls and rawhide type stuff but she adores things like the stuffed hedge hogs with squeakers in them. She will walk all over the house with it in her mouth until it is chewed within an inch of its life.

Why give a short answer when a much longer one will do? :)

*g* like Dev, I've been watching North and South - or talking North and South. And getting some reading in.
What I HAVEN'T been doing is Christmas shopping or emptying my kitchen cupboards - both of which I desperately need to do! Christmas is on the 25th and they start demolishing my kitchen on January 4th - Yikes!!

Lisabea I'm reading and liking Megan Hart's TEMPTATION which is a Jan 1 release. But I'm a fan. I just wish for more time. Today was actually almost a regular day. So hooray!

Kristie, having remodeled our kitchen just a couple of years ago I know what a chore it is to empty cabinets. But it's so much fun getting the new stuff!

Rosie ~ I'm definitely crushing on Richard Armitage. I'm a full-fledged fangirl now. I've joined the crusade. 'Tis okay ~ I'm in good company :-)

I'm having trouble sticking with just one book, so I'm floating around.

hey Rosie :)

actually, they are "wu xia" novels which means really historical/kung fu novels. Most of these story takes place a couple hundred years ago... and well, they are adventures or intrigue with martial arts in it... a bit like Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon... but better. Lots of chinese tv series have been made based on these novels :D

Hundred years to reform a rake by Laurie Brown... it was reviewed by Holly at Book Binge, kristie and Marg I think.
